Iseran with a few to the Mont Blanc
Alpentour 2012 starts somewhere in the Mercantour (France), but the second part of our eight days journey could go two ways. After the Finestre in the direction of the Vercors, or more north to the footh of the Mont Blanc. Going north brings the Mont-Cenis (from italy to france), the high passage of the Col d'Iseran (2770m), the cormet du Roseland, the Col du Joly and Col du Pré with their lovely views to the Mont Blanc.
Going to the Vercors after the Finestre, would bring the Galibier (south) (with first the boring Lautaret), the Mollard and part of the Croix du Fer, followed with a recovery stage from Allemond to the centre of the Vercors. The last day in the Vercors will be spectacular: full of Gorges tunnels and beautiful views from the Col du Mont-Noir, the Col de la Machine. It is a difficult choice, and the routemaster cannot chose anymore. T
